Executive Chef Chris MacAdam was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. He moved to Calgary where he trained under some of Western Canada’s top chefs at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Since graduating from SAIT in 2001, Chris has worked in numerous fine dining establishments including a position as Chef de Partie at a prestigious AAA five diamond restaurant, located in a prominent Bermudian resort.
Deciding to return to his roots, Chris came back to the Maritimes and continued to work for various high scale hotels and bistros thus furthering his experience in the culinary field. In June 2006 Chris graduated from ASAP/CAPS as a Professional Sommelier. He is the only local Chef who is also a professionally trained Sommelier. Therefore his kitchen creations will always have a glass of wine in mind to ensure the total enjoyment of his guests.
The knowledge Chris has attained through his certification only drives his passion for culinary art. Each and every dish is well thought in advance, and Chris’ young flare and familiarity with food and wine pairing as a Chef and Sommelier cannot be ignored. Come and let Chris MacAdam tantalize your palette with his stunning presentation and remarkable flavours. In 2007, Wine Access Magazine named Maison Tait House one of the top 100 Restaurants in Canada.
